Departmental News:

  • Bucknell had a big presence at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Annual Meeting 2008 in Philadelphia, celebrating the 100 years of AIChE.  Bucknell hosted a reception for the students, alumni, friends and faculty.  AIChE Bucknell Chapter was a co-host of the Student Conference 2008-- a wonderful job.  Chem-E Car Team placed 6th in the National Chem-E Car Competition.  Congratulations!

  • Professor Katsuyuki Wakabayashi, along with Professor MIke Malusis (Civil & Environmental Engineering), receives an NSF Major Research Instrumentation Grant: "Acquisition of Equipment for Melt- and Solid-State Fabrication and Barrier Performance Evaluation of Polymer Nanocomposites".
