Fall Parents' Weekend Open House
Open to the public.
The Department of Physics & Astronomy welcomes all Bucknell students, their families, and the local community to the Bucknell Observatory for an Open House on Friday, September 26th from 8-11pm. Prof. Ned Ladd will give a short presentation entitled "The King of Planets" several times during the evening, and the Observatory building will be open for tours throughout the Open House. Weather permitting, we will open up our telescopes and provide opportunities for visitors to see a number of different objects on the sky, including the planet Jupiter, star clusters, and nebulae Don't miss the opportunity to see our historic Clark telescope, which celebrates its 121st year at Bucknell.
