Fall Parents' Weekend Open
House
Open to the public.
The Department of Physics & Astronomy welcomes all Bucknell students and
their families to the Bucknell Observatory for an Open House on
Saturday, Oct. 27th from 8-11pm. Prof. Michele Thornley will give a
short presentation at 8pm, and again at 9:30pm, entitled "A New View of
Planets", and the Observatory building will be open for tours throughout
the Open House. Weather permitting, we will open up our telescopes and
provide opportunities for visitors to see a number of different objects
on the sky, including star clusters and craters on the Moon. Don't miss
the opportunity to see our historic Clark telescope, which celebrates
its 120th year at Bucknell.
