Biophysics Course Requirements

A B.S. in Biophysics consists of the following courses:

  • PHYS 211 and PHYS 212
  • BIOL 203 and BIOL 204
  • CHEM 205 or CHEM 207 and CHEM 211
  • MATH 201, MATH 202, and MATH 211
  • PHYS 222
  • PHYS 315
  • PHYS 317
  • PHYS 340
  • Three advanced electives

Biophysics Major Suggested Course Sequence

Students who plan to declare a biophysics major in their first year are suggested to take PHYS 211 and MATH 201 in the fall semester of the first year. See the Catalog for suggestions on subsequent courses.

Students who wish to declare a biophysics major in their second year at Bucknell, and have not yet taken PHYS 211/212 in their first year are suggested to take PHYS 211 in the fall semester of the second year.
