Have a safe and uneventful drive home! |
Tourney Field: large (approximately 180. x 300.) grassy field that gently slopes toward Faylor Lake. Trees/low shrubs line both long sides. The lake and a gravel road front the opposite short sides. A large (42. x 80.) open pavilion by the lake has electric overhead lights, and four picnic tables. Another nearby open pavilion (20. x 40.) has electric overhead lights, electrical outlets, four picnic tables, and a flush toilet.
This field can easily accommodate dozens of tourney shades and pavilions and still have plenty of real estate for the tourney field. Combatants who contact the Autocrat in advance will be allotted ring-side space for their tourney shade or pavilion.
Dining Hall: Centrally located, this stone hall has wooden beams and a large fireplace. We can comfortably seat over 100 at the rectangular tables (8 per table) and benches.
On-site Lodging: Tired of shelling out mega-bucks to stay in a hotel room? Arrive on Friday night, and skip that stressful Saturday-morning drive! Stay overnight in a communal cabin, a private cabin, or set up your tent or pavilion. For more details, see Lodging Options, below.
Shower House: This recently-constructed building has, in individual private cubicles, 8 flush toilets with sinks and 9 showers. Handicap-accessible cubicles are heated and have hot water and electricity. It is located near the feast hall, immediately behind Harris Cabin.
Additional bathrooms are located at the Trading Post Building (4 heated, handicap-accessible cubicles with flush toilets, sinks, heat, hot water, and electricity) and in a small building opposite the Dining Hall (men's and women's rooms, handicap-accessible, flush toilets, sinks, hot water, and electricity). The latter are located 100 yards away from the Tourney Field, via a gravel path.
Plenty of parking: The large gravel lot at the foot of the camp can easily provide parking for 80 to 100 cars. For combatants and event staff, .close parking. will be available near the tourney field.
Penns Creek: If you like to fish, bring your gear! Penns Creek is well known for its excellent fishing. You will need to have a valid PA license to fish in the creek.

If you plan to fight in Crown Tourney, we would appreciate it if you would include your contact information (email address or phone) so we may contact you with entrants-only information. For tourney entrants and staff who arrive on-site on Saturday morning, there will be a separate check-in line to speed you on your way. |
Troll will be open from 5:00 on Friday afternoon to 1:00 that night. It will reopen at 7:00 on Saturday morning and close at 1:00 in the afternoon.
NOTE: Our woods are lovely, dark, and deep! Overnight guests should plan to bring a portable light source to help navigate wooded paths safely at night.
Communal Cabins
Note that both of the communal cabins have cooking facilities. Guests who stay overnight but do not wish to eat the feast are welcome to cook for themselves; those who do so must bring their own food as well as cooking and clean-up supplies.
Private Cabins
Groups wishing to bunk together may contact our Reservations Clerk about renting a private cabin. These must be reserved in advance and paid for by April 18, 2009.

Because we understand it is not always possible to leave the field once the tourney has begun, we will provide a boxed lunch to Crown Tourney entrants, consorts and Tourney staff. Please help us take good care of you by reserving in advance! Those with dietary concerns should contact by April 15. |
On-board for Saturday's feast is limited to 64, so RESERVE EARLY to avoid disappointment! We currently have over 40 reservations. If you want an on-board spot, don't wait much longer! The feast will be prepared under the supervision of the Head Cook, ; those with dietary concerns should contact him by April 15.
The Feast Menu is now available!.
On-board spaces are currently filled. Contact the Reservations Clerk (Aine) to have your name added to the waiting list. If space becomes available prior to the event, she will contact you. Otherwise, check with her when you arrive to see if there have been any cancellations.
We are very grateful to all who have made reservations for Crown Tourney, as this helps us to better plan how many people to expect for lunch. Please continue to let us know if you will be joining us -- even if it is just for the day!
Open flames are permitted in the dining hall.
In addition, we will also have a "Hospitality Table" available in the dining hall throughout the entire event; this will be stocked with small snacks as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. (Please note that the Hospitality Table area will not be accessible during set-up for feast and the feast itself.)
