The Central AEthelmearc War Practice is located at the VFW Fairgrounds in Mifflinburg, PA 17844 on June 8-10, 2012.

Can you hear the drums of war calling you in the distance? It's time to dust off your armor and prepare for war! The shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais offers practice in heavy fighting, rapier, fencing, archery, combat archery, and thrown weapons. Her Majesty and their Highnesses will be gracing us with their presence and skills on the battlefield.

The Site is the VFW Fairgrounds in Mifflinburg location on Rt 45. It opens at 5pm on Friday and closes at noon on Sunday.

Accommodations

The ammenities of this site include plenty of tent space, porto-castles to aid with the call of nature, and tons of free unpaved parking. Please bring a portable light for safe traveling at night. There is plenty of space for tourney shades.

Seating is not provided, please bring a chair.

A generous dayboard will be provided. Some of the dayboard is finger food and some will require you to bring your feastgear. Please contact our day board coordinator with any dietary concerns.

Activities

There will be heavy fighting, rapier, fencing, archery, combat archery, and thrown weapons.

There will be a Silent Auction runnning through the day until just before Court.

Her Majesty and Their Highnesses will hold Court on Saturday afternoon.

Directions

The site address is 10770 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, PA 17844. Old Turnpike Road is the same as Rt-45.

From Eastern or Western locations, make your way to I-80 and head towards the middle of PA. Take exit 210 onto Rt 15 South towards Lewisburg. After 7.1 miles, turn right at the light onto Market St/PA-45 heading west. (There is a beer center on your right and a school catty-corner to you before you turn). After 10 miles, you will pass Rt 104 on your left and the fairgrounds will be on your right.

From Northern or Southern locations, make your way to PA Rt 15 and head towards Lewisburg. Turn west at the light onto Market St/PA-45. (This will put the beer center on your right and the school behind you). After 10 miles, you will pass Rt 104 on your left and the fairgrounds will be on your right.
