Where are we now?

Where are we now? Great question random blog reader! Well, we are having several minor difficulties that we are still working on, but nothing the GymAware team can’t handle! The website is looking quite pretty, our web developer (Evan Gingrich) just told me that he is working on basic tool tip functionality, where the user (THAT’S YOU!!!) will be able to mouse over a piece of equipment and a little pop-up will appear beside it(the tool-tip) informing the use (still you) if it is currently in use or not. Fascinating stuff!website pic

Beyond that, Andrew D’Abbraccio has been working on data processing on our cloud-database. This is a key step in our information flow, transforming the raw data into status information for us on our web front-end. There have been difficulties using the cloud API to correct process the data. With a little help from team member, Li Li it should all work out.

Evan will be aggregating the converted data into a graph, so that we can have historical data. What historical data? Wow, random blog reader, you are on point with these questions. Historical data is as simple as it sounds: data from the past. We will be using this data to chart trends in gym equipment use, so that we can put on the website when you can expect the equipment to be used or not, and you can plan when you want to workout around the less busy times of the day. Pretty nifty, right?
