Alva Isaac Bennett Alva I. "Mike" Bennett, age 75, of North Canton passed away in the home on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 following an extended illness. Born in Buckhannon, WV on April 19, 1939 to the late Issac and Hattie Bennett, he was an employee of Beaver Excavating as an Operating Engineer and where he retired from in 1989 after 30 years of faithful service. Mike was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in West Virginia and most recently attended Grace Methodist Church of N. Canton. Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie Bennett of the home and to whom he was married 56 years; daughters, June (Robert) Miller of Hartville and Tami Bennett of Gainsville, FL; son, Mike (Pam) Bennett of North Canton; four grandchildren, Brian (Jody) Miller, Joni (Greg) Davis, Justin Miller, and Lindsay Bennett. There are four great grandchildren also surviving Wyatt, Ashlynn, Kaden and Eliyana. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2005 in the Reed Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4-6 p.m. prior to the services. The family wishes to thank Dr. Nuchikat and Palitive Health Care. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
