On August 15-16, 1998, the Jackson Brigade, Inc. will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the immigration of John and Elizabeth (Cummins) Jackson. The schedule for the Anniversary Celebration is as follows:
10:30 - 12:00 Noon Business meeting, memorial service, get acquainted.
12:00 - 1:30 PM Catered picnic (chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon, cantaloupe, punch, coffee - all you can eat. Adults: $8.00 and $4.50 for youth under 12.
2:30 Dedication of the Time Capsule at Pringle Tree near Buckhannon, WV
6:30 PM Banquet at Masonic Temple, 427 West Pike St., Clarksburg, WV. Menu: Baked Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, pie, rolls, coffee and tea. Adults: $12.00 and $6.00 for youth under 12.
Reservations along with money for meals must be received by July 15th. Make check out to Jackson Brigade, Inc. and send to 507 Haymond Hwy., Clarksburg, WV. Cancellation refunds cannot be honored after August 5, 1998. Banquet is limited to first 150 reservations so it is important to get your reservations in early.
