North Plains is a small town with a population of about 1500 and is a few miles west of Portland, Oregon. North Plains is near Beaverton and near Hillsboro where many of the Jacksons, who travelled the Oregon trail as pioneers, settled. On Saturday, August 5th, arrangements will be made for tours to pertinent cemeteries and places where the Jacksons settled.
Soon Donna Bandeen who is spearheading the effort will provide information regarding motels and hotels in Hillsboro and Beaverton as well as details on the nearest airports.
