Next Jackson Brigade Reunion in North Plains, Oregon
On Sunday August 6, 2000

The next Jackson Brigade Reunion will be the first Sunday in August (August 6, 2000) at North Plains, Oregon. We will be having the reunion in conjunction with our West Coast relatives who are primarily of the Henry Jackson line. Henry Jackson was the eighth child of John Jackson and Elizabeth Cummins. For more on this line read a "Short History of the Jacksons in Oregon" by John C. Jackson.

North Plains is a small town with a population of about 1500 and is a few miles west of Portland, Oregon. North Plains is near Beaverton and near Hillsboro where many of the Jacksons, who travelled the Oregon trail as pioneers, settled. On Saturday, August 5th, arrangements will be made for tours to pertinent cemeteries and places where the Jacksons settled.

Soon Donna Bandeen who is spearheading the effort will provide information regarding motels and hotels in Hillsboro and Beaverton as well as details on the nearest airports.

More details later. For now, mark your calendar to join us at the Jackson Brigade Reunion for friendship and exploration of this historical area where many of our Jackson relatives settled!
