The expected date is now next Tuesday. I think we will use the time until the text arrives to work on getting familiar with the lab equipment, as well as experimenting with the DFT and FFT in Matlab. So our plan for the week of January 27 will be: Complete the Lab 1 exercises before Friday, January 31. Read the "Design Projects" from the Lab 1 Web page for an overview of the lab components and how they are used. Run a simple Simulink block diagram in both simulation mode and in real-time on dSPACE (with a digital filter). Also, do the C programming exercises. Stop by if you have questions about anything in the lab. Save your files so we can demonstrate them in lab next Friday. We'll have to do the reading and the problems from the text that are listed on the Homework 1 at a later time. But, please read the DFT pages that I passed out in class on Friday, as well as the Fourier Transform article. Thanks, and have a good weekend. Rich Kozick
