IIR Filter Design and Project Work

• Demonstrate your digital filter implementation for Lab 9.

• We will discuss IIR digital filter design by the impulse-invariant method. A Matlab program that illustrates this approach is at impulse_inv.m.

• I will talk with each of you about your projects for the DSP course, as well as your projects for the random signals course. Project presentations for random signals will begin on Monday, April 28. Project presentations for DSP will be on Friday, May 2.

• We will discuss IIR filter design by the bilinear Z transform method on Monday. Some Matlab programs that illustrate this approach are at bzt1.m, bzt2.m.
