Date Due: Friday, January 21 and Monday, January 24, 2005

  1. We will have lab on Thursday, January 20 from 1-3 PM in Dana 307. Please bring a new "composition book" to use as your lab notebook. You will be given a breadboard to use in lab and to keep for future courses.

  2. Please access the course web page at

    Look at the tentative exam dates on the course syllabus, and let me know your preferences in class on Friday. We will finalize the syllabus by January 24.

  3. Please begin reading Chapter 1 in the Bobrow text, Sections 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. Study the definition of power in Section 1.5.

  4. You do not have to submit any problems yet, but if you would like to work some problems related to Ohm's law, try problems 1.7 and 1.8. These will be assigned (with additional problems) next week.
