Please review your texts and
notes from ELEC 120 and ELEC 225-226.
In particular, review the concepts of phasors and impedance
for circuits that contain capacitors, inductors, and resistors.
Also review operational amplifiers and "frequency response"
of filters.
Please review Sections B.1-B.3 in the Lathi text
on complex numbers and sketching signals.
The textbook should be in the bookstore by Monday, August 30.
Until then, you can find pages 1-22 of the textbook on the
course web page
under Class Notes.
Please work on
designing the low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filters
specified on the
Laboratory 1 assignment.
Note that there are many different circuits that can satisfy
the design specifications.
Take your time, ask plenty of questions, and try to understand
the fundamental concepts.
