  1. Reading: Please continue to study Chapter 2 in the Lathi text. The key concepts in Chapter 2 are impulse response, convolution, zero-state response (ZSR), and zero-input response (ZIR).

  2. Lab 2 from September 20 and 22 will not require any report. We will continue Lab 3 next week.

  3. Please solve the following problems in Chapter 2 of the Lathi text, and submit your solutions on Friday, September 29. Matt Sharp will be in class on Friday to review these homework problems and to present solutions to other convolution problems.
    Problems 2.4-14, 2.4-15, and 2.4-16(a, b, c).
    Do not use the convolution table for these problems.

  4. Please solve the following problems in Chapter 2 of the Lathi text, and submit your solutions on Monday, October 4.
    Problems 2.4-16(d, e, f, g, h).
    Do not use the convolution table for these problems.

  5. Please revisit the URL http://www.jhu.edu/~signals/ and experiment with the Joy of Convolution applet. You do not have to submit anything for this item, but try to use the interactive tool to improve your understanding of convolution!
