He married (2) Elizabeth "Betsy" Shreve 24 April 1836 in Loudoun County, Virginia, daughter of Joseph Shreve and Elizabeth Brake. She was born 10 December 1813 in Harrison/now Lewis County, West Virginia, and died 11 April 1887 in probably Upshur County, West Virginia.
