I am looking for any information anyone may have on the Jackson family that settled in GUERNSEY COUNTY, OHIO. I have hit a road block on which direction to look on where my GGGG grandfather Henry Jackson (1809-1880) came from originally. There are so many Jackson's with the name Henry born around this time, I have him listed as being born in 1809 in Pennsylvania. 1. He married Lucretia Stephens..her parents John/Rachel were from NJ..which were descended from the surnames: Gaskill/Southwick/Shelly/Michaelgrove/Sidney/Husse(y) to French royalty and Charlemagne. 2. I found him in a 1850 census at 41 years old living in Guernsey County. He is also listed in the 1860 census at 51 living with his son(my GGG Grandfather) Israel Jackson (1830-1894 married: Julia Ann Scott) He may have even lived in Noble county? I found some information that may lead towards Pleasant City, OH or Belle Valley, both in Noble county. They may be relatives. 3. He may have a sister named Hannah?? born in PA? Unsure, there are so many Henry Jackson's, it has been very hard to find which one is right. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I found the following on my Great Grandfather, Harry W. Jackson. Any relatives out there? Harry W. JACKSON, who completed, on the 1st of January, 1925, his four years’ term of effective administration as prosecuting attorney of Muskegon county, is one of the representative members of the bar of this county and upon his retirement from office he resumed the active practice of his profession in the city of Muskegon, where he is junior member of the law firm of CARPENTER & JACKSON, which controls a substantial and important practice. Mr. JACKSON was born at Baldwin, judicial center of Lake county, Michigan, June 29, 1887, and is a son of Dr. Noah H. and Adelaide (SAYLES) JACKSON, the former of whom was born in the province of Ontario, Canada, September 8, 1864, and the latter of whom was born in Michigan, July 2, 1867, they being now residents of Wahjamega, Tuscola county, Michigan, where the Doctor is chief physician in charge of the Michigan state farm colony for epileptics. Doctor JACKSON is a son of the late Noah JACKSON and was a boy of about ten years when the family home was established, in 1874, on a farm in Muskegon county, Michigan, his father having become one of the prosperous agriculturists and influential citizens of the county and having here served as a member of the county board of supervisors. After preparing himself thoroughly for the work of his chosen profession, Doctor JACKSON engaged in the practice of medicine at Muskegon, where also his brothers, Drs. Samuel and James JACKSON, likewise became successful physicians and surgeons. Dr. Noah H. JACKSON later removed with his family to Ohio, where for twenty years he continued in the successful practice of his profession, not far to the east of the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The doctor is an active member of the Michigan State Medical Society and the American Medical Association, is a past master of the Masonic blue lodge and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, in which latter his wife is a past matron. Of the other two children it is to be recorded that Frederick is a resident of Detroit, and that Pauline is the wife of Harry IRWIN, superintendent, in 1925, of the high school at Clive, Ohio. The earlier educational discipline of Harry W. JACKSON was acquired mainly in the public schools of Hicksville, Ohio, and in 1905 he was graduated in the high school of that city. In 1910 he was graduated in the law department of the University of Ohio, in the capital city of Columbus, and after thus receiving his degree of Bachelor of Laws he was engaged in the practice of his profession in the state of North Dakota until 1913, when he returned to his native state of Michigan and engaged in general practice in Muskegon, where he eventually formed a law partnership with William CARPENTER, under the firm title of CARPENTER & JACKSON, which is still retained. He gave five years of service as circuit court commissioner, and thereafter was for four years assistant prosecuting attorney of the county, in which connection his record was such as to mark him as the most eligible candidate for the office of prosecuting attorney, to which he was elected in 1920 and in which he continued his vigorous and effective administration until the expiration of his term, January 1, 1925. As prosecutor Mr. JACKSON brought the work of his office up to splendid efficiency, established precedents in many cases which he prosecuted, did a fine service in eliminating vice and all manner of malfactions in his county, and brought about changes that greatly advanced the work of the justice courts. He handled a greater amount of official work than any previous incumbent had been called upon to perform, and as prosecuting attorney he lost but one case among the many in which he appeared. The record he made in this office is tending greatly to expand the scope and importance of the law business of his firm since he resumed private practice. Mr. JACKSON is a stalwart in the ranks of the Republican Party, is a past master of Norchite Lodge, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, and is affiliated also with the York and Scottish Rite bodies of the Masonic fraternity, as well as with the Mystic Shrine. February 20, 1911, Mr. JACKSON wedded Miss Eunice SEIBERT, of Toledo, Ohio, and they have two daughters: Martha, born October 31, 1913 and Betsy Ann, born January 22, 1921. When Harry JACKSON retired form this office of prosecutor, the county board of supervisors passed the following resolution in appreciation of his services: “Whereas, at this time when Mr. Harry W. JACKSON is bringing to a close his work as Prosecuting Attorney of Muskegon County; this board desires to voice its deep appreciation of the services he has rendered Muskegon County during the eight years of his occupancy of that office, and “Whereas, we, the members of his board, who have been in close touch with county affairs during that time, realize that the tremendous increase in the work of the Prosecutor’s office and the vast changes in local conditions, has placed upon his shoulders work and responsibilities never before brought to the office, and the masterly manner in which he has handled the affairs of the office, the work he has given, the sacrifices he has made to duty, are all inspiring evidences of his true worth to the community. We bespeak for this board and we believe for those we represent, our highest commendation and warmest appreciation of the genuine service he has rendered not only to this board in his official capacity, but also to the County of Muskegon; “Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that we give Mr. JACKSON a rising vote of thanks at this time, it being the last meeting of the year and at the termination of his official duties for the county as Prosecuting Attorney, and that this resolution be placed upon our records and a copy sent to Mr. JACKSON by the County Clerk.” Source: “Historic Michigan”, George N. I wonder if you are aware that your line's Jackson founder, John Jackson (1719-1801), husband of Elizabeth Cummins (married) in 1755, was from Duddington, England. His father was Thomas Jackson (b. Killenure, Ireland, who married Ann?). Thomas was the son of another Thomas(1656-1716) born in Clery, County Down, Ireland, died in Montrath, Ireland and married to a Dorothy Mason (1683-1713). That Thomas was the son of Richard Jackson (1626-1679), died at Rosenallis, Ireland, and who was wed to Margaret Keete !1650-1705), married at Carrickfergus in County Antrim, Ireland in 1650. Richard was a son of Sir Anthony Jackson (1599-1666), of Killingswoldgrave, East Riding, Yorkshire, England, who was in the service of King Charles II of England, and who is buried in the Temple Church of the Old Temple in Bloomsbury, London, England. In turn, Sir Anthony's mother, the wife of another Richard, (that one also as Sir) was named Ursula Hildyard. Ursula's ancestry can be traced back to and through King Edward I of England, and before him, back all the way to (through various branches) William the Conqueror, Alfred the Great of Wessex, Cerdic of the Saxons/Welsh (a possible alias for the legendary King Arthur)to Charlemagne, High King Brian Boru of Ireland, and all the way back to the Saxons in Germany at the time of the Romans. I share your ancestry to Sir Snthony, and am a diredt descendant of the brother of Sir Anthony's son and Richard Jackson's brother, also named Anthony. Anthony and his brother Richard were converted to Quakerism in the later 1600's at Eccleston in Lancashire by Edmundson and Fox, early followers of William Penn.

Since discovering my descendancy from Isaac Jackson (1665-1750) and Ann Evans, emigrants to Londongrove Township, PA from Ballitore, Ireland in 1725...and Isaac's ancestry back to his ancestor (Sir Richard Jackson (1570-1610) and his wife, Ursula Hildyard (1577-?)...and her ancestry back to King Edward I "Longshanks"...and Edward's ancestry back to Rollo, the first Viking Norman Duke in the 10th Century...it is possible to track back, through the various marriages or liaisons that come down to Ursula...all the way to 4th Century and before, origins in Saxony, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Gaul, etc., a lineage that even includes Charlemagne in the 9th Century and Alfred the Great 200 years before that. The data is before William the Conqueror (1066) may be suspect, but it certainly is interesting. The present weakest link in my ancestral chain is finding proof that my 2nd great-grandfather, THOMAS JACKSON, born in Canada in 1788, but who came back with his family to Chester County PA in 1799, is indeed the father of my ggreatfather John C. Jackson, born in about 1815 in Chester County.

I never knew my mothers father- there are two different family stories about what happened to him so... but his name was Johnathan Torcel Jackson, I did locate him on 1930 Census with my Grandmother and my Aunt in a South Texas- Willacy, County. I that report said his mother and father were from Oklahoma, and listed him born in Oregon, it also said he was born 1908. I knew from family stories that his mother was "full blood Cherokee", and that was corroberated be an amusing "how to feed the baby story" told by my grandmother. So Oklahoma fit pretty well as to a place of birth for his mother listed on that census report, but I had up until recently thought the Oregon thing was a mistake. But now, I have seen OBVIOUSLY several Jacksons having to do with Oregon. I don't remember his mothers name I've heard it, but I don't remember. As for his father, no real mention, his father was long dead to my understanding by 1928.THe family said he was some cousin to "Stonewall" Jackson, which I find interesting Given My grandfathers name of Johnathan T.(Torcel)Jackson. This could all be a coincedence. It is notable that my mother favored her father's side, she had high cheekbones, long jawline, and could look alot like pictures of "Stonewall Jackson", she was also notable tall 5ft 9inches, which other family had no clim to. My real question here is does anyone know anything of a Johnathan Torcel Jackson born abt 1908 in Oregon, with a Cherokee mother likely from Oklahoma. I want to find what actually happened to him and who his parents/Geneology were. Thanks for any input. Betty

Hello, I'm searching for the parents of a George Washington Jackson who was born in April of 1849 in Buckhannon WV. It appears that this George Washington Jackson had at least two wives, and 6 children. His eldest son's name was Emery, who was born March 27, 1871. According to the 1880 census from Doddridge Co WV, George Washington Jackson was widowed and his house-hold included his three young sons (Emery 9, Irvin 8, & Enos 3) and his sister Elisabeth A. Jackson (19). It appears that he had three additional children, John b. 1885, Rachel b. 1887, & Blanch b. 1891 with his second wife Mary C Jackson. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I believe I descend from an ISAAC Jackson (1665-1751) of Oldcastle, Meath, County Wicklow, married to Ann Evans (1677-1731) through their son John 91712-1791), who was a presumed brother to the Isaac Jackson (1706) who died in Georgia in the late 18th Century. The first Isaac came to London Grove PA before 1751. He in turn was descended from an Anthony Jackson (1540-?) of Yorkshire from the latter's son Richard (?-1610), also of Yorkshire. Richard in turn was the father of Sir Anthony Jackson, a courtier and Herald at the restoration of Charles II of England. His son, Anthony Jackson Jr. (1628 until after 1681) was the father of the first Isaac, who came to London Grove PA as a Quaker settler, as noted above.

I am trying to find a Jackson that may have been married to or adopted by a McDowell family. My brother Richard McDowell had his DNA done by familytreedna and they show two different Jackson that thier dna is a match to Richard. Neither of the Jackson men are aware of any of their ancestors being related to a McDowell. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might shed some light of the findings. Thank you, Carol tadlock@ caroltadlock1227@aol.com .

I will be visiting the Upshur County WV area next weekend and am interested in visiting the graves of my ancestors, Henry Jackson (1774-1852) and his second wife, Elizabeth Shreeves (1814-1887), as well as their son (also my ancestor), Samuel Dexter Jackson (1838-1911) and his wife, Martha Marple (1846-?). The information I have states that they are all buried in Jackson Family Cemetery in Upshur County, WV. I have no idea where this cemetery is (or even if it is completely accurate). If anyone has the name of the cemeteries they are buried in (or directions), please e-mail me. Thanks!

I am seeking information on my GGGF Isaac N. Jackson and his father, Thomas Jackson. I have some background information on Isaac N. but know little about Thomas Jackson. Both are located in Hawkins County TN (Cumberland Gap). I know Thomas indicated on one U.S. Census that he was born in NC and his parents were born in VA (at that time WVA was considered VA). Thomas was born btwn 1807 and 1816 (on the Census), his grave stone indicates he was born 22 Jan 1816 and died May 1888. Thomas married a Phoebe (last named beleived to be Hicks). I would appreciate any information regarding the identity and location of Thomas's parents.

Jacob, My Dad, my brother and I are evidently (according to my grandmother and grandfather's Bible that includes a family tree) distant cousins to Stonewall Jackson. My grandfather Vaughn Isaac Grisham (deceased) wrote in his Bible that my grandmother Ethelyn Margaret Cooper Hensley Grisham (deceased) is related to General Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson. My Dad (William Vaughn Grisham) currently has this family Bible where it shows that his grandmother was Inez Gilder Cooper-Hensley whose mother was Sally Rabe Gilder whose parent's were Jim Rabe and Mellise Jackson. Next to Mellise Jackson my grandfather wrote "1st cousin to Gen. Stonewall Jackson". My name is Jeanne Lynn Grisham (Duckworth). My Dad is William Vaughn Grisham whose mother is Etheyn Margaret Cooper Hensley Grisham (shown above) whose mother was Inez Gilder Cooper (Hensley, Couch) whose mother was Sally Rabe Gilder who married Amos P. Gilder. It was Sally Rabe Gilder's father (Jim Rabe) who married Mellise Jackson. The only problem we are having is that we do not see Mellise Jackson under any of Stonewall Jackson's archives? I am looking for some concrete evidence that General Jackson is a distant cousin. My Dad, my brother, his daughters, my son and I would without a doubt be proud to be related to such a fine person as General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson! I could possibly join the Daughter's of the Republic, etc., even though I know he is saposed to be a distant cousin? I find it interesting that my grandfather and grandmother recorded this in the family Bible. Would you have a few minutes to suggest as to where we can begin and is there any way you could run some type of a query on this for us or forward this email to someone who may have explicit records that could explain my grandfather's notes in his bible regarding my grandmother's family tree? I would greatly appreciate any information/guidance that you could give to us. With sincerity, Jeanne Lynn Grisham Duckworth P.S. Perhaps my son could be honored to attend the Virginia Military Institute one day. We all have a great sense of humor so I am laughing (the general is probably laughing.....) even though my son (16) does have an interest he says in the military after college!

I am searching for my mothers ancestors... I dont have much information but anyone that may have any links to Fannie Jackson born in one of the Corolina's in March of 1938, her mothers maiden name (to my knowledge) is Vera Jackson..NOTE* Vera's Last name may be something other than Jackson but most likely it's "Jackson". Vera died when Fannie was very young perhaps around the age of 9. Fannie also has two sons that didn't grow up with her, these names could have been change because Fannie would have been a very very young mother. The names that were given at birth were Edward and Minus (Jackson)???...Futhermore... Fannie had a grandmother who's name is Daliah Jackson, and her father or grandfather's name is William. Anyone with any information please email me ASAP. The states that are associated are the Corolina's.

I have a geneological question for the Jackson Clan. Do you have a relative named Thomas Jefferson Jackson from Virginia? My family used to know this individual who said he was a direct descendant of Thomas Jonathan Jackson. I must admit that T.J. looked a awful lot likw Stonewall from the pics I've seen of the general. The facial structure was just like the general's, only a longer face. We have not seen T.J. in years because of a family crisis involving his daughter. I can't get over the resemblance between the two mwn.

I am looking for parents of Abraham Jackson, b abt 1847. In the 1880 MO Census in Saline Co., Cambridge Twp., he is listed (33) with wife Sarah E. (Couch)(36), children Sarah C. (9), Thomas H. (2), and Sarah's children, Nettie Lister (11), Maggie Lister (10), and Samuel F. Lister (6). The next connection I could make to him was when I found Nettie married to Henry Cazzell in the 1900 KS Census in Empire City Twp., Cherokee Co. Three Jackson children are listed as Nettie's siblings. Fannie Jackson (b Aug 1881)(18), Otto Jackson (b Feb 1887)(13), and Robie Jackson (b Apr 1884)(16). "Robie" is my great grandfather and through my great-aunts and wonderful assistance from http://members.tripod.com/~JerryFlynn/index.html (and Bill Couch from Couchgenweb.com) I have more information and pictures of Nettie Cazzell and Fannie Jackson now. Incidentally, Otto Jackson moved back in with Henry and Nettie (in the 1920 Census Neodesha, Wilson Co., KS), with his daughter Glyda, and they were running a restaurant together out of the home. I know Abraham and Sarah probably died between (Otto's birth) Feb 1887 - 18 Jun 1900 (the day the 1900 census was taken in Cherokee Co). From the ages of the children in the 1880 MO Census, I have to assume that at least Sarah C. Jackson was from a previous marriage, not a child of Sarah E. (Couch) Jackson. This is all that I have on Abraham. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching Martha Ann Livingston, daughter of Martha Jackson and Stephen Livingston (m. abt. 1812) of Kentucky. Martha Ann (born about 1827) claimed to be a second cousin of Stonewall Jackson. Do you have any information that would help me sort this out?

JACKSON/MINKLER: Looking for any info. John or Jack married Vitalis Minkler. My info is pitiful. My mom is not sure if his name was Jack or if that was a nickname. She lost her mom as a child and grew up as a ward of the state in Vermont. Her father was originally from VA we think. Do not know where Vitalis is from originally. We do know that it was a second marriage and Vitalis was his step-daughter before she was his wife. Both John & Vitalis died in Vermont. Any info would be appreciated as I keep hitting walls. My grandfather, Noble Jackson Schmidt had a maternal grandfather, John K. Jackson (born approx 1860), who told him that he was kin to President Andrew Jackson and had been raised at the Hermitage. Noble's father married John K. Jackson's daughter, Isalena Jackson, and they lived in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Now, President Jackson had no natural children. His adopted son, Andrew Jr (really Rachel Jackson's nephew) did have children, but none of them had a son named John K. Jackson. Does anyone know anything about my great-great grandfather John K. Jackson?

I recently posted what I knew about my family of Jackson's from The Terra Alta area of Preston,WV. I have been told that my GGGrandfather's father was not Samuel Jackson, as what is written on his death certificate. So does anyone know an Elias Franklin Jackson, born abt 1809, who married an Anna Jane, born abt 1811 in Terra Alta ? I have no clue as to what other children they had other than my GGGrandfather Andrew. If you can help ,please e-mail me. Also there was information at familysearch.org that is wrong, Anna and Elias did not die on the dates that were stated, those were their two small grandchildren, apparently named after them who both died in 1872 at the ages of 3 1/2 and 9 1/2 months old. My GGrandmother had all that info written in her bible.

I am looking for information on James Irvine Jackson. He was born in North Carolina in 1832. He was married to Rhoda A who was born in 1837 in Kentucky. In the 1870s and possibly 1860s, they lived in Henry County, TN. Their children were named Jonathan C (1862), James S (1861), Berta B. (1868), and Earnest H (1870). While Berta was alive, she was very proud of her heritage, and she used to say that she was related to Stonewall Jackson. We have not been able to find the connection though. So we are searching for any possible connection. According to Berta's Daughters of the Confederacy application, James Irvine Jackson served in the 1st to 3rd Kentucky Cavalry under Gen Morgan and the 2nd to 18th Mississippi under Gen Chalmers. His record of service was stored at the Stonewall Jackson Bivouac in McKenzie, Tn. After the War, we believe he moved to McKenzie, TN in Carroll County. Any other information on him would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I have an article entitled, John R. Woodside "A Man of His Time" that has a brief excerpt pasted below "According to one report, "no horse and rider ever made a faster trip from Jefferson City to Thomasville, not even Frank James." The horse was part of John R’s dream of breading thoroughbreds at Thomasville. That dream was partially realized even before the war: later, a rider brought a message from a life-long friend named Thomas Jackson (General Stonewall). John R not only rode again, he supplied horses to the Confederacy by running the blockade on the Mississippi." John R. Woodside is my great-great-great grandfather and was a very successful breeder of horses in the Oregon County, Missouri region. I am just trying to prove in some way that they did have contact with one another. If anyone has any suggestions or know of any resources please free to contact me. If this is true the note from the rider has probably been lost. Thank you very much for you time. Garret B. Kremer-Wright

In a previous query I made a mistake. I said that my great grandfather married the daughter of the Comptroller General. It was actually his grand daughter. The Comptroller was Peterson Thweatt. I have dug up a little more information. The first Oscar Jackson Meyer was born in Kentucky and became a Kentucky Colonel. His father Oscar Meyer married Berta Jackson in 1885. I also know from census records that in 1900 her brother Earnest H lived with them in Missouri. Both Berta and Earnest were born in Tennessee. I can't find any other reference to Berta Jackson before they married other than her father was born in North Carolina and her mother was born in Kentucky. Any help would be tremendous.

My name is O Jackson Meyer IV. According to family legend, the Jackson in my name can be traced to Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. There were letters that proved some evidence to this, but they have been lost for many years. If anyone can provide any information on a connection I would appreciate it. I know that there is a connection to Alex Thweatt, who was the comptroller General of the Confederacy. His name can be found on some confederate money. One of his daughters, Louise Peterson Thweatt, married Oscar Jackon Meyer, my great grandfather. Any information would be great. Please contact me at ojmeyer@comcast.net

My Grandfather on my fathers side was married to a Jackson, there was a Jackson/Wilson reunion every year for many years in Baltimore Ohio. My father was born in Cook County Illinois, but at some time they moved to Mansfield Ohio. There he met and married my mother, then for reasons unknown, they moved to Pennyslvania, near Pittsburgh. I am trying to reestablish connections. At the Jackson/Wilson reunion there was a family tree that traced back the family to Thomas J. Jackson, and he was supposed to be related to me as a distant uncle. Do you have any information on this bracn of the family? Any help gratefully appreciated. Richard C. Cook

I too, have been told that I am a descendant of "Stonewall" Jackson. My father is William J. Jackson. I am new at researching my heritage. My cousin, whose mother was a Jackson, has us liked to both President Andrew Jackson and to Thomas Jonathon "Stonewall" Jackson. But unfortunately he is too busy to share the wealth of information!! So to all my relatives out there, a big " Hi, ya'll"! My son, who just turned 16 and is into Civil War reenacting, wants to do a first person impressionist of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson when he is older. And if looks are any indication, he might just be able to do it! There is definately a "family" resemblance. And by some coincedance my son's name is also Thomas! DIdn't plan it that way. So welcome to the family and stay in touch. I'd hate to get to heaven and have to be introduced as family!! Will post more info as soon as I can wrangle it out of my dear cousin.

I had an aunt that always claimed that our family was linked to the Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson family. My aunt said that her Aunt Crissie's husband John S. Jackson was the link. John S. Jackson(born abt 1872), was married to Christianna(Crissie)Story(1883-1942)with a daughter named Elizabeth (abt 1909). Although John and Christianna were born in Maryland, Elizabeth was born in the Fairmont, Buchannon, Clarksburg area. I am currently serving in Kuwait with the USAF and do not have access to the record. All I recall about my grandfather is the following; he was born in 1905, I believe in Missouri (not 100% sure). He moved from somewhere in Missouri to Vernon, N.Y. to become an actor though I do not know when. It was sometime between 1925-42. I might be able to narrow down the time frame in which he moved to NY in a few weeks when I get home. He then enlisted in the army to fight in WW2. He was a part of the 516th Field Artillery Batallion, Battery C. His military service records indicate he was in Germany during the 1943-44 time frame. He married my grandmother, Theresa Magaletti of Tarrytown, N.Y. sometime after the war (1946 or 47) and lived in Farmingdale, N.Y. (town in Long Island) He passed away in 1983 at the age of 78. I will be able to provide more information if needed in a couple of months when I get home.

I am a descendent of John Jackson, (son of John and Elizabeth Cummins Jackson,) who married Rebecca Love. ...With new interest spurred by a grandson interested in the military history of his ancestors, I went thru research I have on John and could not find any reference to his possible participation in the Revolutionary wars...I was interested in trying to get the book referencing military history of John and Elizabeth Cummins Jackson's descendents, but says it is out of print. perhaps someone that has it, can give me account for my John Jackson on any military service he was in....thanks so much.

Looking for Crawford connection - Pres. Andrew Jackson's parents came to US in 1765 from Carrickfergus, Ireland. The families of three sisters came: Andrew Jackson Sr. and Betty Hutchinson, James Crawford and Jane Hutchinson and his brother Robert Crawford also married to a Hutchinson. Andrew JAckson Sr, died in 1767 and several months later Pres. Andrew Jacksons was born in the home of his aunt and Uncle James and Jane Crawford. JAmes had at least three sons, James, William and Joseph, Robert Crawford had at least 2 sons Thomas and another. I am looking for the connection between James or Robert Crawford, uncles by marriage of Andrew Jackson and my ggggrandfather William Crawford born 1827 in Gibson Co. Indiana. Found that James Crawford Jr was deeded land in Wilson Co Tenn for fighting in REv. War. This may be the connection to the Indiana Crawfords. Help. Thanks

I am looking for any information regarding my great grandfather, Ulyses Grant Cummins, who was married to Sarah Elizabeth "Pop" Cummins. They had several children, among which was my grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Cummins, who was born July 24, 1908 in Fairmont, West Virginia. My great grandmother, "Pop" is buried in the Fairmont, WV cemetary, but not in a plot with Ulyses. I was told they separated some time after Elizabeth's birth, but I have no idea when that would be. Any info would be helpful.

My great-grandfather was Irvin Jackson. He was born April 1, 1873 in Doddridge County, WV. His parents were George Washington Jackson and Francis Bee. Francis' middle initial is "i" in one record and "J" in another. Do you have any information that may identify whether my ancestors are part of the John Jackson family?
