 WebWork is an web-based application that assists in the assignment and collection of homework. Here's the basic idea: the program generates problems based on a template and assigns each user a unique problem based on that template. For instance, I may be assigned the problem 4+3=? while you may be assigned 5+3=?. The skills required to solve each problem are the same, but the details are different. The program determines if your answer to your particular problem is correct.

In this class I'll be using it to keep tabs on you how you're keeping up with the reading. I will assign (no more than five) problems each class. To answer these problems you will need to have done the reading assigned on the homework page.

I will give a demo in class, but if you're eager to try things out before class, the webwork server is http://webwork.bucknell.edu/ and the course is 08FAMA201-07-08. To log in, your Bucknell username is your userid and your student ID is your password. Let me know if you have any problems. I will demo this on the first day of class.
