Activity 24 – Scoreboarding with Loop Unrolling
Hello everyone,
A few notes from today’s sections, issues brought up etc.
- Please have Activity 24 completed to your ability for Friday’s review session. This will be the only review (with me) before the midterm on Monday.
- Presentations on Project 2 tomorrow. Please be prepared to talk about your responsibilities, design decisions, issues run into, particular insights that while may have been mentioned in class really were crystallized when you had to code it. Make sure everyone speaks.
- Midterm on Monday. Expect a test similar in style to the first midterm, with potentially a little less information overload and less opportunity to carry over errors. Coverage is cumulative, but expect a focus obviously on more recent material in virtual memory, loop unrolling, branch prediction, and dynamic scheduling.
